Vimal S. Mehta is the President of Forum of Indian Photographers and Artists (FIPA – www.fipaindia.com) that is engaged in promoting visual arts, including photography. Vimal is a sought-after and acclaimed Delhi-based photographer, whose pictures have been displayed at the St. Petersburg Academy of Art in Russia for the last three years. He has traveled around the world on varied photography projects, and has also delivered lectures on photography, fine arts, and cinema.
Vimal was awarded the coveted title of AIIPC in 1996 and conferred the IIPC Gold in the year 2000 by the India International Photographic Council. In February 2018, he was an active participant at the “International Kala Mela” organized by the Lalit Kala Academy.
Vimal has been a part of over 100 photography shows across India. His pictures have adorned the galleries of AIFAC, Triveni, IIC, Aparna, Gandhi, and Lalit Kala Academy. In July 2018, he was part of the “Amazing India” photography show held at the Gandhi Art Gallery. As ever, he was accorded extensive media coverage by reputed news media companies as The Hindu, Amar Ujala, and Jagran to name a few.
